Three ways you can use the Enneagram to grow as a leader:

I have always been interested in personality tests and have had pretty consistent results... I'm an ENFP (sometimes ENFJ) according to Meyers Briggs (take your own assessment on 16personalities.com). But lately I have been hearing SO much about the Enneagram numbers that I had to check it out for myself. (Alli Worthington's podcast was the catalyst to exploring this further, and I want to encourage you all to take a listen!) What is it exactly? According to The Enneagram Institute, the Enneagram helps us to see ourselves at a deeper, more objective level and can be of invaluable assistance on our path to self-knowledge. After taking a brief test, you are scored into one of nine categories, or "types." These types are organized by numbers and descriptions including: The Reformer The Helper The Achiever…

In the Garden

It was complete. It was finished. Two gardens. One purpose. It was good.

"Faith, Featured"

As we contemplate the Easter story this year, I found myself drawn to a detail I hadn't noticed before. A detail that reveals more of God's nature in his perfect, perfect plan. All throughout scripture, we see examples of God revealing signs to his people of the love he has for them, and his plan for redemption. And this detail that I noticed this week is centered around God's completion and perfect timing....the very last words Jesus spoke before his death. "It is finished." The final words he spoke as he breathed his last breaths on that agonizing cross. The first finish. In the beginning of recorded time, we see God establish the world in scripture. Beautiful, exotic, perfect. A representation of heaven on earth, designed with relationship in mind. Genesis 2:1-3 states "So…

We've got some fun, fresh things in the works over here at Hearts Wild! If you're following us on Instagram, we pushed a story with a new wallpaper for your mobile device. This is something you may start to see on a regular basis, with a simple hope of reminding you of who you are in Christ Jesus and to live the fullest life God has for you. Why a wallpaper for your phone? I've been trying to keep scriptures and positive, encouraging words at the front of my mind as often as I can, and wallpapers are one EASY way to refresh my mind as I glance at my phone throughout the day! (Head over to Instagram and grab it today, OR, feel free to download it directly from this post.)

Created to be Wild

Wild. I’ve always had a touch of it in me. I laugh a little too loud. I feel a little too intensely. I love a little too fiercely. I care too much. My imagination has a tendency to run too far. I crave adventure and travel. I like action and adventure movies. I’ve tried my hand at fulfilling my lifelong goal of finding buried treasure (I know it sounds a little cray). I’m a passionate person. And yet there have been so many things that I've held back because of fear. Fear of failure, imperfection, rejection, and other lies I've believed for too long. Lies that are binding and crippling to the heart. Chances are you feel the same in a lot of ways. That deep desire to forge your way and make a…

Go in the strength you have

Your weakness was part of God's plan all along.

“God is not interested in answering our questions about the past; He is focused on what is coming next. The very thing that we think disqualifies (or discourages) us from serving God in our role is exactly why He chooses us.” Graham Cook I could ask you if you’ve ever had a day where you stop and say to yourself, ‘I just can't do this anymore… I don’t have what it takes,’ but I already know the answer. Of course you have. We all have those thoughts that we aren’t qualified for (fill in the blank: being a mom, that new job you just got, that dream that you can’t let go of). But, that doesn’t matter. In fact, your weakness was part of God’s plan for you all along. God intends for this…

Welcome, Wild Ones.

A call to take up your place. It's time to grow deep.

You have a dream. How do you start something that has been bursting from your heart for years? How do you even know where to begin? All the dark fears of not getting it right. All the negative self-talk about failure and qualifications. ALL the fears of being judged. How do you start? With itty-bitty steps. One positive thought at a time. Let that dream in your heart slowly creep out of the cracks in your droughty soul. That dream... the one that was put there with a fullness you can't explain. Pour a little more hope on that thought that you keep going back to. Soon enough, a tiny stem will push up, out, and away from the dark. Birthed upwards, towards the brilliant light of faith. Drip, drop. That little stem will…
